On July 21, 2021, the Norwalk Transit System (NTS) entered into an Agreement with Gillig, LLC (Gillig) to purchase two Battery Electric Buses (BEBs) and two ChargePoint bus chargers via a Cooperative Agreement with the State of Washington Department of Enterprise Services. On September 6, 2022, City Council approved Amendment No. 1 with Gillig to acquire three additional BEBs and two ChargePoint bus chargers.

NTS is seeking Contract No. 3 to purchase two additional Gillig Battery Electric Buses (BEBs).
