SUBJECT: PROJECT NO. 7864 - ACCEPT WORK FOR SENIOR CENTER ROOF
REPLACEMENT AND EXTERIOR PAINTING OF BUILDING
Background:
On August 19, 2025, City Council approved Resolution No. 25-39 authorizing an amendment to the Fiscal Year (FY) 2025/26 budget to appropriate additional funds for Project No. 7864 for the Senior Center Roof Replacement and Exterior Painting of Building. Furthermore, City Council also approved an agreement with Letner Roofing Company in the amount of $776,000 including a 15% contingency in the amount of $116,400 to construct Project No. 7864.
Final project costs are $818,871 and the work was satisfactorily completed on March 31, 2026. Required construction change orders in the amount of $42,871 were within the contingency and had no impact on the project schedule.

Fiscal Impact:
The project was funded by Facilities Renovation Funds approved in the Fiscal Year 2025/26 budget. No General Fund was used for the project. Unexpended funds are available for reprogramming for future eligible projects.

The recommended action will further the City’s Strategic Plan Goal 2.1 – Re-invest in existing and aging infrastructure.
Recommended Action:
Staff recommend City Council accept the work completed by Letner Roofing Company in the amount of $818,871 for Senior Center Roof Replacement and Exterior Painting of Building.
