Background:
On November 7, 2023, City Council approved agreements with 27 firms to provide on-call Community Development Consultant and Additional Services intended to support Community Development and other City departments with staff augmentation services, priority projects, long-range planning projects, and technical review. CSG Consultants, Inc. (CSG) was selected with compensation not-to-exceed $150,000 annually.
Currently, CSG is assigned to assist with Project Management Services for the Norwalk Transit Village. CSG’s staff helped with site design, community outreach activities, entitlement processing and public hearings for the project. The current services include continued efforts to remediate the site and complete the land transfer process. The work order for the current fiscal year is estimated at $86,400.
The proposed Amendment No. 1 requests a compensation increase and term extension for The Walk (Project) consisting of the following:
Building inspection services are included for the entire project site. The Project consists of a mixed-use, open-air development in the Norwalk Entertainment District that will feature living spaces, restaurants, and retail uses. CSG will provide experienced, International Code Council certified inspectors who will work with the City’s Building and Safety staff to ensure compliance with applicable codes and requirements and provide solutions to mitigate potential risks and safety hazards. The estimated cost for the building inspection services is $520,000 through January 1, 2028. The amendment will also modify
