SUBJECT: CONTRACT AMENDMENT NO. 4 FOR DESIGN SUPPORT SERVICES AND

CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT AND INSPECTION SUPPORT SERVICES FOR FIRESTONE BOULEVARD WIDENING - PROJECT NO. 7196, PHASE 2 Background:

On December 2, 2025, the City approved a budget amendment for the Firestone Boulevard Widening Project – Project No.7196, Phase 2 Project (“Phase 2 Project”) to complete construction of the Phase 2 Project between Hoxie Avenue and Studebaker Road. The total amended project budget is $29,526,959.

To support the construction of the Phase 2 Project, additional design support services from the design engineer, Mark Thomas, as well as the construction management and inspection support services, TY Lin, International are required. Amendments to the existing agreements are necessary to ensure the continuation of these services through project completion. The previously approved budget amendment includes sufficient funding for design support, and construction management and inspection services, and no additional budget appropriation is requested.

Fiscal Impact:

Sufficient funding is available within the approved project budget to cover the additional construction support costs.
