RESOLUTION NO. 26-58
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORWALK AUTHORIZING AN AMENDMENT TO THE FISCAL YEAR 2026/27
ADOPTED BUDGET TO APPROPRIATE FUNDS FOR PROJECT NO.
7945 – STREET REHABILITATION ON EXCELSIOR DRIVE BETWEEN
PIONEER BOULEVARD AND BLOOMFIELD AVENUE, FRONT STREET
BETWEEN PIONEER BOULEVARD AND SAN ANTONIO DRIVE, AND
FOSTER ROAD BETWEEN STUDEBAKER ROAD AND GRIDLEY ROAD
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined there is a need to award the contract to proceed with construction services for Project No. 7945; and WHEREAS, fee for the construction services is estimated at $3,163,069; and WHEREAS, the available project funding is $2,000,000 leaving a shortage; and WHEREAS, the City Council desires to appropriate an additional $1,164,000 from available Street Renovation funds for Project No. 7945.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORWALK HEREBY DETERMINES, FINDS, AND RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1.The City Manager is authorized to make the following appropriation and prepare the necessary budget amendment for the following account:
Account Number Increase Decrease
Fund Balance: 748-0480 $1,164,000
Expenditures: 748-70-7945-2080 $1,164,000
Section 2.The Mayor, or presiding officer, is hereby authorized to affix her signature to this Resolution signifying its adoption by the City Council of the City of Norwalk and the City Clerk, or her duly appointed assistant, is directed to attest thereto.
