A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORWALK AUTHORIZING AN AMENDMENT TO THE FISCAL YEAR 2026/27
ADOPTED BUDGET TO APPROPRIATE FUNDS FOR
AUTHORIZATION TO ACQUIRE AND EQUIP A VERSATILE PUBLIC
SAFETY VAN
WHEREAS, City Council has determined there is a need to purchase and fully equip a Sprinter Cargo Van to replace the current Public Safety recreational vehicle to serve as a highly visible and versatile command post for the Public Safety Department during City events, community engagement events, emergency operations, and authorized operations with agency partners for an estimated total cost of $249,719; and WHEREAS, City Council desires to appropriate the additional $249,719 needed to fund the purchase from available Equipment Replacement Fund.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORWALK HEREBY DETERMINES, FINDS, AND RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to make the following appropriation and prepare the necessary budget amendment for the following account:

Section 2. The Mayor, or presiding officer, is hereby authorized to affix her signature to this Resolution signifying its adoption by the City Council of the City of Norwalk and the City Clerk, or her duly appointed assistant, is directed to attest thereto.
