RESOLUTION NO. 26-64
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORWALK AUTHORIZING AN AMENDMENT TO THE FISCAL YEAR 2026/27 ADOPTED
BUDGET TO ACCEPT GRANT FUNDS FOR SERCURITY SERVICES SURROUNDING THE WEINGART ROSE – PROJECT HOMEKEY
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined there is a need to provide on-site security support in the area surrounding the Weingart Rose property located at 10646 Rosecrans Avenue to deter criminal activity and safeguard public safety for the residents and the businesses; WHEREAS, the City applied for available grant funding through the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors in the amount of $200,000;
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to accept grant funds once received and amend the Fiscal Year 2026/27 budget to appropriate $200,000 from the Homeless Prevention Fund to provide on-site security at 10646 Rosecrans Ave.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORWALK HEREBY DETERMINES, FINDS, AND RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to make the following appropriation and prepare the necessary budget amendment for the following account:

From: 209-63-0000-4488 $200,000
To: 209-63-6306-2080 $200,000
Section 2. The Mayor, or presiding officer, is hereby authorized to affix her signature to this Resolution signifying its adoption by the City Council of the City of Norwalk and the City Clerk, or her duly appointed assistant, is directed to attest thereto.
