The City Council closed session began at 11:07 p.m.
COUNCIL PRESENT: Mayor Eric Lucan, Mayor Pro Tem Susan Wernick, Councilmember Denise Athas, Councilmember Pat Eklund and Councilmember Mark Milberg.
STAFF PRESENT: City Manager Adam McGill and Assistant City Attorney Gary Bell.

CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNSEL--ANTICIPATED LITIGATION
Initiation of litigation pursuant to paragraph (4) of subdivision (d) of Section 54956.9: One potential case.
The City Council returned from closed session at 11:26 p.m. Assistant City Attorney Gary Bell reported that the City Council approved a legal services agreement with the law firm Sher Edling LLP and authorized Sher Edling LLP to file suit against Monsanto, its affiliates, and Bayer regarding PCB contamination. These actions were approved by a unanimous vote of the City Council.
D. ADJOURNMENT
The City Council adjourned the meeting at 11:26 pm.
