City Council meeting are usually held each month on the second and fourth Tuesdays at 6:00 p.m. In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, if you need special assistance to participate in this meeting, please contact the City Clerk at (415) 899-8986. The agenda is divided into three main sections and includes other categories covering routine business. All references to “City Council” include those other agencies which may be listed at the top of the Agenda. The City Council may discuss and/or take action on any or all of the items listed on the agenda irrespective of how the agenda items are described. The Council may establish and make appointments to a Council committee (made up of two Councilmembers) with respect to any item appearing on this agenda.

C.2 CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNSEL – ANTICIPATED LITIGATION Significant exposure to litigation pursuant to paragraph (2) of subdivision (d) of Section 54956.9: One potential case
A point has been reached where, in the opinion of the City Council on the advice of its legal counsel, based on the below-described existing facts and circumstances, there is a significant exposure to litigation against the City:
Statement made by a person in an open and public meeting threatening litigation on a specific matter within the responsibility of the City Council. (Gov. Code, § 54956.9, subd. (e)(4).)
Name of person: Andrew Giacomini on behalf of La Star Latina Nature of Matter: At the open and public City Council meeting held on November 15, 2022, Mr. Giacomini made a threat of litigation on behalf of his client, La Star Latina, regarding Agenda Item I.2. appearing on the agenda for that meeting.
