• On March 4th, officers responded to the Skate Park for a report of three male juveniles making threats to bystanders and possibly having a gun. Officers located the vehicle and the male subject, and he was taken into custody without incident. • On March 8th, officers responded to Bank of America for a report of an attempted robbery in which the suspect walked into the bank, handed the teller a note demanding money, and threatened to blow up the bank. Officers arrived on the scene and searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect. The investigation is ongoing.
• On March 10th, officers responded to a report of contraband sales at OHS. It was determined that the subject, who was also a student at OHS, was known for buying and providing nicotine to other high school students. Upon arrival, officers met with school personnel and the subject. A search of the suspect’s vehicle revealed ten vape pens and three knives. Video surveillance confirmed the sale of contraband, and the subject was subsequently arrested for contributing to the delinquency of a minor, possession of weapons on school grounds, and resisting arrest. • On March 11th, officers responded to the 2300 block of Breton Drive for a report of a noise complaint. The juvenile had called a friend stating she was hiding in the bathroom and asked to be picked up due to her parents being in an argument. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the mother, father, and child. It was determined that the male had a served criminal protective order that listed peaceful contact with the female. Through investigation, it was determined that the contact had not been peaceful, and the male was subsequently arrested for violating April 2023 Police Department Report for March
the protective order.
• On March 14th, officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for expired registration.
Officers made contact with the adult male driver and juvenile passenger. It was determined that the driver had a suspended license, and the juvenile was on probation for a firearms offense. The driver and passenger were subsequently arrested and booked. The juvenile’s father arrived on the scene and was also arrested for an outstanding felony warrant out of Merced County. • On March 23rd, officers initiated a traffic stop for vehicle code violations. The driver failed to yield, and a pursuit ensued. The driver abandoned his vehicle and fled on foot. Officers gave chase, and a perimeter was set up.
