RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF OAKDALE CITY COUNCIL
AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF THE LIFEPAK 15 MONITORS, MODEMS,
PREVENTATIVE CARE SERVICE CONTRACTS, ASSOCIATED MEDICAL BAGS,
VIDEO LARYNOGOSCOPES, AND ALL NARCOTIECS AND MEDICIATIONS TO OUTFILT E-28 AND E-27 WITH A TOTAL PRICE NOT TO EXCEED $90,000
FUNDED FROM AMERICAN RESCUE PLAN ACT (ARPA) FUNDS
THE CITY OF OAKDALE CITY COUNCIL DOES HEREBY RESOLVE THAT:
WHEREAS, on October 18th, 2021, the Oakdale City Council approved the City of Oakdale Expenditure Plan American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Funds Expenditure Plan in the amount of $5,644,664; and
WHEREAS, contained within the City of Oakdale Expenditure Plan was $90,000 to purchase EMS equipment to be placed on City of Oakdale fire engines to allow them to provide advanced life support (ALS) care when staffed with a paramedic; and
WHEREAS, the emergency medical equipment will be in addition to the Basic Life Support (BLS) equipment that is already carried on the apparatus, the purchase will include a LIFEPAK 15 Cardiac Monitor/ Defibrillator as well as all the ALS equipment and medications required by the Stanislaus County EMS Agency to operate as an advanced life support engine company when staffed with a paramedic; and WHEREAS, Staff recommends the City Council approve the purchase of the LIFEPAK 15 monitors, Modems, Preventative care service contracts, associated medical bags, Video Laryngoscopes, and all narcotics and medications to outfit E-28 and E-27 with a total price not to exceed $90,000; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL hereby authorizes the purchase of the LIFEPAK 15 monitors, Modems, Preventative care service contracts, associated medical bags, Video Laryngoscopes, and all narcotics and medications to outfit E-28 and E-27 with a total price not to exceed $90,000 funded from American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Funds.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION IS HEREBY ADOPTED THIS 7th DAY OF AUGUST, 2023, by the following vote:
