PATROL – ONGOING
• On June 1st, officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with several vehicle code violations. It was soon discovered that the driver had a warrant. The driver was searched, and in his front pocket, a round of ammunition was located. Further investigation revealed a backpack that stored several hypodermic needles containing a clear liquid and a small bag with a white crystalline substance was also located. Dispatch advised that the driver is a convicted felon and is prohibited from possessing ammunition. He was arrested and booked into county jail. • On June 2nd, officers conducted a traffic stop in the 1500 block of E F St on a vehicle for vehicle code violations. As the vehicle pulled into a nearby parking lot, the driver exited the vehicle and began to walk away from the car. The driver stated that he did not have a driver's license and was placed under arrest for driving a vehicle unlicensed. While conducting a search of his person incident to arrest, the key to the vehicle was located along with a baggie with a white powdery substance, and a large amount of cash was in his pocket. The passenger gave consent for officers to search her purse and located a large amount of cash in different denominations which is often found with subjects that sell illegal narcotics or controlled substances.
The driver had a warrant from the US Marshals Service for a felony parole violation.
Both subjects were arrested and booked on various charges. • On June 14th, officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that drove through a 4- way stop intersection. The driver told the officers that she couldn’t see the stop sign because she was looking for her glasses. She appeared to have difficulty keeping 224

her eyes open while the officers conducted their investigation. The driver had taken an uncertain amount of prescribed Tramadol earlier that day but did not feel the effects of the drugs.
