Subject: Consideration of a Resolution Declaring the Official Canvassed Results of the November 5, 2024 General Municipal Election
I. BACKGROUND
On Tuesday, November 5, 2024, the General Election was conducted by the Stanislaus County Registrar of Voters. The County Clerk’s official canvass of Election was completed on December 3, 2024. II. DISCUSSION
On December 3, 2024, Donna Linder, Stanislaus County Clerk Recorder, Registrar of Voters issued the Certificate of Facts disclosing the results of the November 5, 2024 General Municipal Election official canvass of votes (Exhibit A). For the City Council’s consideration, attached is the resolution accepting the Certified Statement of Vote for City of Oakdale November 5, 2024 General Election and declaring that:

4. Patrick Mondragon elected as City Clerk to serve a 4 year term ending December 2028.
III. FISCAL IMPACTS
The Stanislaus County Registrar of Voters estimated the total cost of the November 5, 2024 General Election would be approximately $1.35 - $2.12 per registered voter, per position to conduct a city-wide election for two City Council Members, one City Clerk and one City Treasurer. The actual number of registered voters at the time of the November 5, 2024 General Election was 13,982. Based on historical election costs, Staff has budgeted $60,0000 in the Fiscal Year 2024/2025 budget.
