RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TRAVEL AND REIMBURSEMENT
OF COUNCILMEMBER NOEL GALLO’S TRAVEL TO WASHINGTON
DC FOR ATTENDANCE AT THE NATIONAL LEAGUE OF CITIES’
CONGRESSIONAL CITY CONFERENCE FROM MARCH 11, 2022
THROUGH MARCH 19,2022 IN THE AMOUNT OF $4,538.00 IN TRAVEL
COSTS FROM THE COUNCIL CONTINGENCY FUND FOR TRAVEL
WHEREAS, Councilmember Noel Gallo, is the City of Oakland’s Voting Delegate to the National League of Cities, and that the League’s Congressional City Conference is being held in Washington DC, on March 12-16, 2022; and
WHEREAS, City Council Resolution No. 82800 C.M.S approved by the City Council on June 1, 2010 requires that, when Councilmembers seek Council approval for using City funds for travel, their agenda materials shall indicate whether travel involves airline transportation and lodging and shall provide an estimate of the cost of airline, lodging, per diem and conference fees and the source of City funding that will be used to cover the travel cost; and WHEREAS, in compliance with City Council Resolution No. 82800 C.M.S., the estimated cost for Councilmember Gallo is $1,210.00 in registration fees, $1,858.00 for lodging, and $1,120.00 for airfare, and $450.00 per diem, all costs within the City of Oakland’s approved travel policies and procedures; and
WHEREAS, Councilmember Noel Gallo seeks City Council approval for the aforementioned cost to travel to Washington DC, to attend the National League of City 2022 Congressional City Conference; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED: That all expenses incurred for said travel are hereby authorized.
