I am a tax attorney whose practice focuses on the intersection of tax controversy and tax policy, a member of the Alameda County Assessment Appeals Board, and a community activist. I am eager to serve on a commission charged with overseeing the use of parcel tax and parking tax revenues to a program that applies a racial equity framework to inform violence reduction priorities across all departments toward a more comprehensive citywide strategic approach to public safety and violence prevention.

I am a resident and homeowner in Oakland who cares deeply about my community. I started my career in New York City working in the Bloomberg administration to support initiatives that helped low-income New Yorkers increase their access to wealth creation opportunities and better education. Since moving to the bay area, I've transitioned careers into finance, but my excitement about the impact of the public sector remains. Through one of these boards, I hope to deepen my engagement in my community and ensure that the most underprivileged are safe and have shelter.
