RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION NUMBER 88316 C.M.S BY
AUTHORIZING THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR TO: (1) ACCEPT A ND
APPROPRIATE FISCAL YEAR 2020 SUPPLEMENTAL GRANT FUNDS
IN THE AMOUNT OF FORTY SEVEN THOUSAND, NINE HUNDRED
AND EIGHTEEN DOLLARS ($47,918) FROM THE FEDERAL
EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY (FEMA) FOR A
CUMULATIVE FISCAL YEAR 2020 GRANT AWARD OF ONE MILLION,
THREE HUNDRED FOURTEEN THOUSAND, FIVE HUNDRED AND
FORTY NINE DOLLARS ($1,314,549); (2) EXPEND THE ADDITIONAL GRANT FUNDS IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE F ISCAL YEAR 2020
PRELIMARY SPENDING PLAN TO INCREASE FUNDING FOR
EQUIPMENT AWARDED ON S EPTEMEBER 21 , 2021 ; AND (3) USE
GENERAL P URPOSE FUND S (GPF) TO COVER THE COST OF
INTERNAL SERVICE FUND (ISF) CHARGES AFFILIATED WITH SAID GRANT FOR FISCAL YEAR 2020
WHEREAS, the Fire Department is requesting an amendment to the City Council Resolution No. 88316 C.M.S., due to an increased grant funding allocation in the amount of forty seven thousand, nine hundred and eighteen dollars ($47,918) for a cumulative Fiscal Year (FY) 2020 grant award allocation in an amount not to exceed one million, three hundred fourteen thousand, five hundred and forty nine dollars ($1,314,549);
WHEREAS, the Fire Department is requesting to expend additional grant funds in accordance with the FY 2020 spending plan to increase funding for equipment awarded on September 24, 2021; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED: that Resolution No. 88316 C.M.S. is amended to authorize the City Administrator to accept and appropriate FY 2020 supplemental grant funds in an amount of forty seven thousand, nine hundred and eighteen dollars ($47,918) for a cumulative FY 2020 grant award allocation in an amount not to exceed one million, three hundred fourteen thousand, five hundred and forty nine dollars ($1,314,549); and, be it
FURTHER RESOLVED: that the City Council hereby authorizes the City Administrator to expend the additional grant funds in accordance with the FY 2020 spending plan to increase funding for equipment awarded on September 21, 2021; and, be it
2 FURTHER RESOLVED: that the City Council authorizes use of General Purpose Funds to cover the cost of Internal Service Fund charges affiliated for said grant for fiscal year 2020; and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED: that all agreements issued hereunder shall be reviewed and approved by the office of the City Attorney for form and legality and copies shall be placed on file in the Office of the City Clerk.
