I have developed a pesonal pasison and professional expertise in historic preservation, adaptive reuse, and building modernization proj- ects in my 23 year career. Existing buildings, of all kinds, refl ect our
city’s history and record our values at the time they are built. Over the years those original conditions and values may evolve but a with careful evaluation a building’
s overall contribution to the public realm
can be maintained and celebrated even as it is put into new use.

I’m eager to participate in the stewardship of Oakland’s rich architec- turaly heritage of existing buildings as a member of the Landmarks Preservation Advisory Board.
