The Council authorized settlement in the amount of $39,955.00
This case arose out of an incident occurring on December 5, 2022.
FACTS/ISSUES:
On December 5, 2022, a City sewer main failed. This resulted in raw sewage travelling into the ground floor, common area of the Crescent Villas condominium building. Claimant Crescent Villas HOA alleges that the incident caused damage to the property that required extensive repairs.
Crescent Villas HOA (“Claimant”) filed a government tort claim to seek reimbursement of their damages. At this time, the alleged economic damages total approximately $39,955.00. The approved settlement resolves all claims with the Claimant in this matter without litigation.
