This case arose out of an incident occurring on September 13, 2023
FACTS/ISSUES:
Claimant alleges that on March 11, 2022, raw sewage from a City sewer main overflowed through a bathroom and into the main room, storage, closet, stairs and landing areas of the building.
Claimant alleges that a blockage of the City’s sewer main caused the overflow and damaged its property.
The City of Oakland has determined that settlement in this amount, without an admission of liability, is in the best interest of the City
