RECOMMENDATION
Staff Recommends That The City Council Receive An Informational Report From Paramount Theatre For The Arts, Inc. Regarding The Paramount Theater
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Staff recommends that the City Council accept this informational report prepared by the Paramount Theatre for the Arts, Inc., the non-profit corporation that manages and operates the City of Oakland's historic Paramount Theatre at 2025 Broadway.
Paramount Theatre of the Arts, Inc. has managed and operated the Paramount Theatre pursuant to an Operating Agreement with the City of Oakland since October 1975. The non- profit has historically presented informational reports to the Life Enrichment Committee (LEC) of the City Council every few years.
The attached report (Attachment A) provides information on the state of Paramount Theatre for the Arts, Inc. and recent activities at the Paramount Theater. The General Manager of the Paramount Theater will present the report at the July 9 th LEC meeting.
ACTION REQUESTED OF THE LIFE ENRICHMENT COMMITTEE
Staff Recommends That The LEC Receive The Attached Informational Report From Paramount Theater For The Arts, Inc. Regarding The Paramount Theater.
