WHEREAS, each individual HUD CoC program award goes through two competitive funding processes, one on the Alameda County level and one on a federal level; and

WHEREAS, on September 19, 2023, City Council adopted Ordinance No. 13759 C.M.S. (Shelter Crisis Ordinance), which appropriated up to $20,000,000 in HUD, Oakland Housing Authority (OHA), and Alameda County SSA funding for transitional housin g programs through FY 2025-26; and

WHEREAS, the OPRI/SBHAP funds will be allocated towards furthering program objectives, ensuring impactful utilization across designated channels. These funds are allocated to HUD-ESG/SHP/HOPWA Fund (2103), Community Housing Services Org (78411), OPRI/SBHAP OHA FY 2024 -2025 Project (1006702), and the Homeless Services & Support Program (NB41).
