Agenda | 2025 Oakland Council Budget Session- Budget & Policy Priorities Friday,
March
7th
2025
Objective
Our
mission
is
clear:
we
aim
to
build
an
Oakland
that
is
a
full-service
community—safe,
clean,
vibrant,
and
livable
for
all
residents.
Our
Goals:
●
Understand
Oakland’s
current
opportunities
and
challenges
by
listening
to
residents
(survey),
analyzing
data
on
inequities
in
the
city,
and
reviewing
the
fiscal
outlook.
●
Ground
the
Council
and
Administration
in
their
individual
motivations
while
fostering
collaborative
leadership.
●
Gather
input
from
values
and
priorities
from
2023
to
help
build
a
stronger,
more
sustainable
city
for
the
future,
with
a
focus
on
driving
measurable
outcomes
for
2025-2027.
●
Establish
our
values
and
priorities
for
2025,
while
setting
a
foundation
for
long-term
progress.

to
contribute.
3. Embrace
Diverse
Perspectives
–
Recognize
that
we
each
bring
unique
experiences,

and
solutions
to

4. Navigate
Conflict
with
Purpose
–
Disagreements
are
natural,
but
they
should
move
discussions
forward,
not
stall
progress.
5. Honor
Respect
&
Open

–
Differences
in
opinion
