Dear City Council Colleagues and Members of the Public, It is my honor to respectfully request the Council adopt the following resolution: Resolution recognizing September 15 through October 15, 2025, as National Hispanic Heritage Month and honoring Hispanic/Latinx community champions for their leadership, achievements, and contributions to Oakland.
Hispanic Heritage Month provides us the opportunity to celebrate the rich cultural history, resilience, and leadership of Oakland’s Hispanic/Latinx community, who continue to inspire and strengthen our city. By adopting this resolution, we recognize and honor these champions for their impact on the well-being and future of Oakland.
