SUBJECT: The Council President’s Appointment to the Association of Bay Area Governments (ABAG) Executive Board
The attached resolution confirms the President of the Oakland City Council’s appointment of Council Member Janani Ramachandran, Council Member Zac Unger, and Council Member Carroll Fife to serve as delegates representing the City of Oakland to the Association of Bay Area Governments (ABAG) Executive Board. Their two-year terms will commence on July 1, 2024 and conclude on June 30, 2026. Furthermore, this resolution also appoints Council Member Charlene Wang to serve as an alternate delegate during this term. These appointments re-affirms the City’s commitment to stronger regional dialogue, and advancing regional solutions pertaining to planning, housing, and economic development.
