N CONFIRMING AND RATIFYING ACTION TAKEN BY
THE MAYOR DURING THE OAKLAND CITY COUNCIL 202 5 ANNUAL
RECESS IN CONFORMANCE WITH THE COUNCIL’S RULES OF
PROCEDURE CODIFIED IN RESOLUTION NO. 90066 C.M.S., PASSED DECEMBER 19, 2023
WHEREAS, pursuant to the City Council’s Rules of Procedure, established by Resolution No. 90066 C.M.S., the City Council’s Annual Recess shall be for the period of August 1 through August 31 of each year, or until the first meeting in September as set by the Rules and Legislation Committee; and
WHEREAS,
the City Council has taken its Annual Recess beginning August 1, 2025, and ending August 29, 2025; and
WHEREAS, purs
uant to the Council’s Rules of Procedure codified in Resolution No. 90066 C.M.S., passed December 19, 2023, the Mayor is authorized to take certain actions as would normally be taken by the City Council during the period of the Annual Recess, and the Mayor is directed to make a full and complete report to the City Council, at its first regular meeting in October, of actions taken by the Mayor during the Annual Recess and the City Council may make such findings and confirm said actions of the Mayor; and
WHEREAS, the
following actions were taken during the Annual Recess:

5 • Adopt A Reso
lution Authorizing The City Administrator To Accept A Gift Of Furniture To The City Of Oakland From 1950 Franklin Street LLC At A Value Estimated At $1,415 For The City Of Oakland; and
August 26, 2025
• Adopt A Resolution Fixing The Rate Of Property Tax And Levying A Tax On Real And Personal Property In The City Of Oakland For Fiscal Year 2025-26 For Voter-Approved Indebtedness ; now, therefore, be it
2 RESOLVED: The Oakland City Council does hereby confirm and ratify the above -mentioned actions taken by the Mayor during the City Council Annual Recess commencing August 1, 202 5, through August 29, 2025.
