The attached resolution requests City Council confirmation of the appointment of community member David Newton to the Oakland–Alameda County Coliseum Joint Powers Authority Commission.
Mr. Newton brings extensive experience in commercial and residential real estate transactions, which will be particularly valuable as the City and County consider the sale of their respective interests in the Coliseum. His appointment will support continued collaborative governance and effective management of the Coliseum Complex between the City of Oakland and the County of Alameda.
