OAKLAND ALAMEDA

ACCESS PROJECT

CONSTRUCTION & PROJECT INFORMATION
Providing Access and Connections
The Oakland Alameda
Access Project will
bring improved safety,
bike/pedestrian
improvements and
better roadway designs
to reduce the impact
of freeway traffic on
surrounding communities
in downtown Oakland
including Chinatown and
the City of Alameda.

Currently, motorists
traveling between I-880,
I-980, and the Webster
and Posey Tubes must
navigate congested
city streets, leading to
bottlenecks, delays,
and vehicle-pedestrian
conflicts.
