RESOLUTION APPROVING THE TENTATIVE AGREEMENT FOR THE
MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE CITY OF
OAKLAND AND THE OAKLAND POLICE OFFICERS’ ASSOCIATION
(MANAGERS UNIT) REPRESENTING EMPLOYEES IN
REPRESENTATION UNIT UN2 , COVERING THE PERIOD JULY 1, 202 6 THROUGH JUNE 30, 2031
WHEREAS, the tentative agreement for the five-year successor Memorandum of Understanding between the City of Oakland and the Oakland Police Officers’ Association (Managers Unit) (the “MOU”) has been presented to the City Council, as Attachment B to the accompanying agenda report, for adoption pursuant to section 3505.1 of the Government Code of the State of California; and
WHEREAS, the key provisions of the tentative agreement for the MOU are described in the report to the City Administrator dated September 3, 2026; and
WHEREAS, the terms and conditions contained in the MOU are in the best interests of the City; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED: That said tentative agreement be, and is, hereby approved; and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED: That the provisions of the MOU are effective as of July 1, 2026.
