Hello! I'm Senaya J.

My name is Senaya Johnson, and I am a
freshman and student-athlete at Oakland High
School. I have been a Peer Restorative Justice
Leader for over 2 years and I am honored to be
ACC’s Culture & Climate Director for the 2026-
27 school year. I believe that we are ready to
move away from a culture of punishment and
towards a culture of community.

As an athlete, I know that you cannot win a
game if the team is divided. The same is true
for our school district. When one player falls,
the whole team steps up. That is the kind of
mindset I want all OUSD schools to adopt,
ensuring that no student is left to struggle
alone. My goal is to lead by listening to
students from every campus in Oakland. When
someone is hurt they deserve a voice, when
someone causes harm. They deserve a chance
to take real responsibility and fix what was
broken.Together, we can build a community
rooted in accountability, empathy, and mutual
respect.

The Culture and Climate director holds all of All
City Council accountable to their agreements
and values at all ACC meetings, events, and
activities. The Culture and Climate director
mediates most/all of the conflvits that uprsies
between ACC affiliated indivisuals and also help
facilitate community building activties
opputunities to prevent conflict.
