A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE MAYOR’S APPOINTMENT OF
LAUREN HANSEN WRIGHT AS AN UNDESIGNATED
REPRESENTATIVE TO THE HOUSING, RESIDENTIAL RENT AND
RELOCATION BOARD
WHEREAS, Section 601 of the City Charter provides that members of City boards and commissions shall be appointed by the Mayor subject to confirmation by the affirmative vote of five members of the City Council; and
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 11954 C.M.S., as amended by Ordinance No. 12030 C.M.S., and further amended by Ordinance No. 12273 C.M.S., Ordinance No. 12399 C.M.S., Ordinance No. 12538 C.M.S., Ordinance No. 12706 C.M.S., Ordinance No. 13373 C.M.S., Ordinance No. 13418 C.M.S., Ordinance No. 13618 C.M.S., and Ordinance No. 13649 C.M.S., created the Housing, Residential Rent and Relocation Board (“Board”) to assume all duties and functions heretofore exercised by the Housing Advisory and Appeals Board, Residential Rent Arbitration Board, and the Relocation Appeals Board; and
WHEREAS, the Board consists of seven (7) regular members, two tenants, two residential rental property owners, and three undesignated members who are neither tenants nor residential rental property owners, serving not more than two consecutive three-year staggered terms and two alternates for each of the three classes of members; and WHEREAS, the Honorable Mayor Barbara Lee has appointed Lauren Hansen Wright to the Board, subject to confirmation by the City Council; now, therefore, be it ///
2 RESOLVED: That pursuant to City Charter Section 601, the City Council hereby confirms the Mayor’s appointment to the Housing, Residential Rent and Relocation Board:
Lauren Hansen Wright, Undesignated Representative, to serve a three-year term beginning on February 12, 2026 and ending February 11, 2029, filling a seat previously held by Charles Oshinuga.
