Minutes of the Special (Strategic Plan) Meeting of the Oakley City Council held
February 15, 2022
1.Call to Order and Roll Call
Mayor Randy Pope called the meeting to order at 6:32 p.m. at the Oakley Recreation Center located at 1250 O’Hara Avenue, Oakley, California. Vice Mayor Aaron Meadows and Councilmembers Anissa Williams, George Fuller and Sue Higgins were also in attendance.
City executive staff members also joined the meeting.
The meeting was led by facilitator Ellen Cross with Strategy Driver Inc. and her colleague, Maria Pascoal.
2.Public Comments
No public comment was submitted prior to the discussion.
3.Strategic Plan Discussion
3.1 Strategic Plan Objectives and Agenda
The Strategic Plan Objectives and Agenda were made available to everyone in attendance, including the public and was made part of the record.
Ms. Cross reviewed the meeting objectives and agenda, approach, schedule, survey results and interview input.
Ms. Cross moved into a discussion regarding the City’s mission and vision to express the City’s purpose and drive. She received input from the City Council, staff and public regarding the mission and vision to develop a new proposed mission and vision.
Ms. Cross then led a discussion regarding the City’s values and received input from the City Council, staff and public regarding the values and revisions that were suggested.
She reviewed next steps, including the approach and schedule for upcoming meetings to be held March 10 and 31 at the same time, same place.
4.Adjourn
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 8:30 p.m.
