Minutes of the Special Meeting of the Oakley City Council, Board of Directors of Diablo Water District and Board of Directors of Ironhouse Sanitary District held September 26, 2022
1.Call Meeting to Order and Roll Call
The joint special meeting was called to order at 6:02 p.m. at the Big Break Regional Shoreline Visitor Center Conference Room located at 69 Big Break Road, Oakley, California. Phone conference was made available for the meeting. Vice Mayor Aaron Meadows and Councilmembers George Fuller and Sue Higgins were in attendance.
Mayor Randy Pope and Councilmember Anissa Williams were absent.
2.Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag
Chad Davisson, General Manager of Ironhouse Sanitary District, led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.
3.Public Comments (on non-agenda items)
An online comment was submitted by Leonard Price to the City of Oakley. He confirmed his opposition to the Delta Conveyance Project.
4.Stop the Delta Tunnel/Delta Conveyance Project

Speakers: Osha R. Meserve (Soluir Meserve, A Law Corporation) and Ryan Hernandez (Contra Costa County)
Staff Recommendation: Confirm or Reaffirm Opposition to the Delta Conveyance Project
Osha R. Meserve with Soluir Meserve, A Law Corporation and Ryan Hernandez with Contra Costa County presented regarding the Stop the Delta Tunnel/Delta Conveyance Project.
Vice Mayor Meadows asked if the Oakley City Council would want to entertain a motion to confirm or reaffirm opposition to the Delta Conveyance Project.
It was moved by Councilmember Fuller and seconded by Councilmember Higgins to oppose the Delta Conveyance Project. Motion was unanimous and so ordered. (3-0)

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 7:33 p.m.
