Minutes the Special Meeting of the Oakley City Council
held June 11, 2024
1) Call to Order and Roll Call
Mayor Anissa Williams called the special meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. in the Oakley City Council Chambers located at 3231 Main Street, Oakley, California. Vice Mayor Shannon Shaw and Councilmembers Dr. George Fuller, Hugh Henderson and Aaron Meadows were also present.
2) Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag
Mayor Williams led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. 3) Public Comments
None.
4) Closed Session
4.1 CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNSEL-EXISTING LITIGATION
Pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.9(d)(1)
Schaefers v. BNSF Railway Company et. al. (and City of Oakley), Contra Costa Sup. Ct. Case Nos. C22-01552 and C22-01555
Mayor Williams announced the closed session item and indicated that after closed session, the meeting will adjourn. She announced the Regular Joint Meeting of the Oakley City Council/Oakley City Council Acting as the Successor Agency to the Oakley Redevelopment Agency/Oakley Public Financing Authority will be held here this evening beginning at 6:30 p.m.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 6:16 p.m.
