1) CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL
Mayor Henderson called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m.
Councilmember Shaw, Councilmember Williams, Vice Mayor Meadows and Mayor Henderson were present. Councilmember Fuller was absent. 2) PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG
Mayor Henderson led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. 3) PUBLIC COMMENTS
4) REGULAR CALENDAR
4.1 Adopt Resolutions Accepting the City Clerk's Notice of Facts and Available Options Pursuant to California Elections Code § 10229 and Either Appointing the Sole Nominees or Directing Elections for City Council Districts 2 and 4 at the November 3, 2026 General Municipal Election (Kim Snodgrass, City Clerk)
City Clerk Kim Snodgrass presented the staff report.
Councilmember Shaw provided questions; City Manager Joshua McMurray responded.
It was moved by Councilmember Williams and seconded by Vice Mayor Meadows to adopt the resolution [Accepting the City Clerk’s Notice of Facts and Available Options and] Appointing the nominated candidate, Shannon Shaw, to District 4 for the November 3, 2026 City of Oakley General Municipal Election.
AYES: Henderson, Meadows, Williams NOES: None ABSTENTIONS: Shaw ABSENT:
Fuller RESULT: Motion carried 3-0-1
It was moved by Councilmember Williams and seconded by Vice Mayor Meadows to adopt the resolution [Accepting the City Clerk’s Notice of Facts and Available Options and] Appointing the nominated candidate, Hugh Henderson, to District 2 for the November 3, 2026 City of Oakley General Municipal Election.
AYES: Meadows, Shaw, Williams NOES: None ABSTENTIONS: Henderson ABSENT:
Fuller RESULT: Motion carried 3-0-1
Councilmember Shaw provided a question about reallocating the budgeted election funding to another purpose; City Manager Joshua McMurray responded. 5) ADJOURN
