JOINT MEETINGS
The special meetings of the Ontario City Council and Housing Authority were held on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at Ontario City Hall, 303 E. B Street Ontario, California.
CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Leon called the Joint City Council and Ontario Housing Authority meetings to order at 6:34 p.m.
ROLL CALL
PRESENT: Mayor/Chairman Paul S. Leon
Mayor pro Tem/Vice Chair: Alan D. Wapner
Council/Authority Members: Jim W. Bowman, Debra Dorst-Porada and Ruben Valencia
ABSENT: Council/Authority Members: None.
Also present were City Manager / Executive Director Scott Ochoa, Best Best and Krieger Election's Legal Counsel Scott Smith, and City Clerk/Secretary Sheila Mautz.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Council Member Bowman.

There were no public comments.

PUBLIC HEARINGS
1. PUBLIC HEARING #2 TO RECEIVE PUBLIC COMMENTS ON TRANSITIONING
TO DISTRICT-BASED ELECTIONS UNDER THE CALIFORNIA VOTING RIGHTS ACT
The City Council opened the second Public Hearing, received further input regarding the formation of districts and closed the Public Hearing.
Legal Counsel, Scott Smith provided a presentation regarding the districting process.

STAFF MATTERS
City Manager Ochoa announced the mapping tool would be released on May 11, 2022, and that the Community Workshops were scheduled for May 14, 2022 to demonstrate the mapping tool.
ADJOURNMENT
Mayor Leon adjourned the meetings of the Joint Agencies at 7:59 p.m.
