JOINT MEETINGS
The study session of the Ontario City Council and the Housing Authority were held on Friday, August 16, 2024 at the Ontario Police Department, 2500S. Archibald, Ave., Ontario, CA.
OPEN MEETING CALLED TO ORDER
Mayor Leon called the study session to order at 9:08 a.m.
ROLL CALL
PRESENT: Mayor/Chairman: Paul S. Leon
Mayor pro Tem/Vice Chair: Debra Porada
Council/Authority Members: Alan D. Wapner, Jim W. Bowman and Ruben Valencia
ABSENT: Council/Authority Members: None
Also present were City Manager / Executive Director Scott Ochoa, City Attorney/Legal Counsel Ruben Duran, and Assistant City Clerk / Assistant Secretary Claudia Y. Isbell.
PUBLIC COMMENT
There were no public comments.
STUDY SESSION
1. PUBLIC SAFETY PRESENTATIONS
The City Council received a presentation from the Ontario Fire Department regarding CONFIRE EMS transition.
Fire Chief Michael Gerken provided a presentation and answered Council questions.
CLOSED SESSION
Mayor Leon inquired whether persons were present who wished to speak to the Closed Session items. Hearing no one, City Attorney Duran announced the matters for discussion as listed on the agenda and recessed to Closed Session at 9:56 a.m. for discussion of the following:

ADJOURNMENT
Mayor Leon adjourned the meetings at 9:56 a.m. and announced a report on closed session would be provided at the next regular meeting.
