1. SUBJECT
Final Acceptance of Bid No. 20-21.31, Well No. 28 Drilling Project; and authorization to file Notice of Completion.
2. SUMMARY
The City of Orange has entered into a contract with South West Pump & Drilling, Inc. for the drilling Well No. 28 at 235 W. Maple Avenue, Orange. The scope of work consisted of pilot hole drilling, installation of approximately 1,300 feet of 20” stainless steel casing and louver, installation of all accessory tubing, gravel pack, sanitary seal, conduct aquifer zone, alignment, pumping tests, complete final chemical and mechanical well development, and disinfection. The project has been completed in February 2022 to the satisfaction of the Public Works Department, Water Division.
3. RECOMMENDED ACTION
Accept as complete Bid No. 20-21.31, Well No. 28 Drilling Project; and authorize staff to file Notice of Completion with the County Recorder.
