On the agenda for April 12, 2022, is a request for permit parking on Collins Avenue. In the past, requests for new permit parking areas have been designated as Public Hearings, triggering a separate notification process for affected residents. Because a Public Hearing is not required, the item was placed under Administrative Reports and, unfortunately, separate notices were not sent out. While this item was passed unanimously by the Traffic Commission with all speakers in support of the proposal, staff recommends rescheduling the item to the May 10, 2022, regular meeting. This will allow for notifications to be mailed out and encourage greater public participation.
