1. Common Area Maintenance Services, Inc. (dba CAM Services), Orange, CA
2. Ultimate Maintenance Services, Inc., Lawndale, CA
3. Superior Property Services, Inc., Pico Rivera, CA
The current steam cleaning contract frequency is not sufficient to keep up with the increased pedestrian traffic, outdoor dining, increased number of carry-out restaurants, and transients at the public facilities. The proposed contract will increase all the spoke streets from monthly to weekly. In addition, Community Services added frequency at the Yorba Dog Park and the Train Depot.
A rating panel consisting of three members from the City’sPublic Works Department reviewed the proposals received. Based upon the selection criteria listed in the RFP, the committee unanimously rated CAM Services as their top scoring firm. In addition, CAM Services has been providing satisfactory steam cleaning services to the City since 2010 and has always been very responsive to the City’s routine service needs as well as special requests for City events.
Funding for this contract is dependent upon City Council approval of the Fiscal Year 2022-23 budget.
Staff recommends a contract be awarded to CAM Services in the amount of $255,579, at $85,193 per year for steam cleaning services.
