1. SUBJECT
Authorize purchase of 3-year subscription for AutoCAD software from DLT Solutions.
2. SUMMARY
DLT Solutions is a premier government solutions aggregator who provides access to a robust network of partners and delivers the latest software, technology products and outstanding customer support. As the Citywide license will expire early next year, DLT Solutions is assisting the City to acquire new Autodesk AutoCAD Single-user based subscription licenses.
3. RECOMMENDED ACTION
Approve the purchase of Autodesk AutoCAD 3-year subscription license from DLT Solutions in the amount of $96,266.44.
4. FISCAL IMPACT
The total expenditure for this purchase is $96,026.44 and will be funded through:

6. DISCUSSION AND BACKGROUND
The Public Works Department and Community Services Department staff have been utilizing the software AutoCAD by Autodesk to perform the daily tasks in producing and reviewing construction plans under the Multi-user license. Starting February 2, 2023, Autodesk will be retiring the Multi-user subscription model, and the Single-user licenses will be implemented.
The approximate cost for an annual Multi-user license subscription is $2,125 per user. Autodesk is currently offering all customers who have a Multi-user license to trade it in for two Single-user licenses at the price of one, plus five percent cost savings, based on an upfront discount on the 3- City of Orange Printed on 7/7/2022Page 1 of 2

year contract license.
The City currently has twelve AutoCAD citywide licenses which will be traded in for the three-year user subscription at a discounted rate. Four additional AutoCAD subscriptions will be purchased to meet staff’sneeds. Finally, four subscriptions of the Architecture, Engineering & Construction (AEC) Collection will be purchased. The AEC collection is a package of various design software products, which include Civil3D, an enhanced version of AutoCAD geared towards roadway and pipe network design. Civil3D is an essential tool for Public Works staff to create 3D design models for roadways and generate plan and profile views of sewer, water, and storm drain designs. Thus, there will be a total of twenty user subscriptions purchased to cover the next three years.
