RESOLUTION NO. 10737
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ORANGE ESTABLISHING THE CITY
COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING DAYS AND
TIMES.
WHEREAS, Government Code Section 54954 requires the City Council to take a formalactionto establishthemeetingtime for regularlyscheduledmeetings; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Orangerecentlyfoundthat the daysand times of the regularly scheduled meetings should be amended to allow for greater public participation and enhancethe efficiency of the City's ability to conduct the public's business; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Orange adoptedOrdinance 12 -13, amendingtheOrangeMunicipal Codeto allow theCity Councilto establishthedaysandtimes of its regularly scheduledmeetingsby resolution.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Orange hereby establishes that the regularly scheduled meeting of the City Council shall be held on the second Tuesday of each month and shall convene at the hour of 6:00 p.m. and continue until adjourned by a majority vote. In the event any such Tuesday is a legal holiday, the City Council meeting shall convenethe following day at 6:00p.m.
FURTHERMORE, the City Council of the City of Orange establishes that any necessaryclosed sessionshall begin at 5:00 p.m. preceding the regularly scheduledmeeting.
