1. SUBJECT
Agreement with Rotary Club of Orange Plaza for the production of the Annual Orange Rotary Plaza Car Show.
2. SUMMARY
Agreement with Rotary Club of Orange Plaza which authorizes the use of City streets for the production of the annual car show and reimburses the City for all costs incurred for the production of the event.
3. RECOMMENDED ACTION
Approve the Agreement for Production of Orange Plaza Car Show with Rotary Club of Orange Plaza; and authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to execute on behalf of the City.
4. FISCAL IMPACT
None. The Rotary Club of Orange Plaza reimburses the City for all costs incurred unless otherwise directed by the City Council.

6. DISCUSSION AND BACKGROUND
The Rotary Club of Orange Plaza (OPR) has produced their annual car show in the Orange Plaza (Plaza) for 28 years. Prior to 2010, the event was approved annually via the City’sspecial event process. In 2010, The City Council approved a three-year agreement outlining the details of the event and approving the use of the Plaza for this event. City Council approved subsequent four-year agreements in 2015 and 2019.
OPR is requesting a new four-year agreement to operate and run the car show within the Plaza footprint, allowing the use of public streets for the event. The one-day event continues to attract over 20,000 visitors to the City of Orange requiring coordination between OPR and City staff to ensure the safety of the event for visitors and participants while protecting City property. The proposed agreement requires OPR to reimburse the City for all costs and expenses incurred by the City for production of the event, which is primarily staff time for Orange Police Officers and Public Works City of Orange Printed on 1/5/2023Page 1 of 2
