1. SUBJECT
Consider the removal of Commissioners Mike Rouse and Chrissy Vaughn from the Park Planning and Community Events Commission.
2. SUMMARY
Pursuant to Orange Municipal Code 2.55.010, “members of boards, commissions, and committees serve at the pleasure of the City Council. Unless otherwise provided for in law, any member of a board, commission, or committee may be removed at any time, with or without cause, by a majority vote of all the members of the City Council.”
Commissioner Chrissy Vaughn was appointed to the Park Planning and Community Events Commission on June 8, 2021. Commissioner Vaughn’s current term ends on June 30, 2025.
Commissioner Mike Rouse was appointed on July 13, 2021. Commissioner Rouse’scurrent term ends on June 30, 2025.
3. RECOMMENDED ACTION
Consider Mayor Slater’srecommendation to remove Commissioner Mike Rouse and Commissioner Chrissy Vaughn from the Park Planning and Community Events Commission, and direct the City Clerk to post a Notice of Vacancy for both positions pursuant to the Maddy Act.
