RESOLUTION NO. 11454
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ORANG E REVISING THE
MAXIMUM NUMBER OF SHORT TERM
RENTAL PERMITS ALLOWED
WHEREAS, on April 13, 2021, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 11318, establishing the maximum number of short term rental businesses permitted in the City; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has considered the short term rental permit program in terms of enforcement and revenue and wishes to increase the number of allowable sh ort term rental permits.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Orange as follows:
1. The maximum number of active short term rental permits in the City is increased from one hundred twenty-five (125) to two hundred (200) and shall not exceed that number at any one time.
2. The City Manager or designee, is directed to develop procedures implementing the phase-in timing for the increase in short term rental permits authorized by this Resolution.
3. To the extent not rev ised by this Resolution, all other terms and provisions of Resolution No. 11318 shall remain in effect.
4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.
