Item #: 3.9. 6/27/2023 File #: 23-0315
These items are needed for the successful repair, installation, and maintenance of the City’swater infrastructure. The Public Works Department Water Division uses the informal bid process to purchase the required materials by requesting all participating vendors to provide pricing for each individual item needed. There is no, one specific vendor that continually provides the lowest price for all items; therefore, the Water Division purchases materials from the vendors that offer the lowest price for that particular item.

The Water Division continuously purchases different materials and supplies from the ten vendors listed below. As the amount of purchases from each vendor is over the $30,000 per year limit per vendor, staff is requesting the City Council authorize the purchase orders, on an as needed basis, in the amounts shown in the table upon approval of the Fiscal Year 2023-2024 budget.

Vendor Amount
Neptune Technology $400,000
Yo Fire $150,000
C Wells Supply $150,000
United Water Works $125,000
Ferguson $125,000
Armorcast $125,000
S&J Supply $100,000
PTI Sand & Gravel $50,000
West Coast Sand & Gravel $50,000
Main Street Materials $50,000
The Public Works Department Water Division continues to monitor and seek out vendors with the lowest prices to ensure the City is getting the best value available.
