1. SUBJECT
Authorize purchase of LUCAS 3 Automatic Chest Compression Device supplies and Ambulance Power Pro and Power Load gurney preventative maintenance services.
2. SUMMARY
Request to authorize an increase to purchase order for a total amount of $20,000 with Stryker Medical for medical supplies and service visits during Fiscal Year 2022-23.
3. RECOMMENDED ACTION
Approve an increase of $20,000 to a purchase order for medical supplies and service visits from Stryker Medical for the total amount of $52,000 for Fiscal Year 2022-23.
4. FISCAL IMPACT
The total expenditure for this purchase is $52,000 and will be funded through Emergency Transportation Fund (125).

6. DISCUSSION AND BACKGROUND
The Fire Department purchases LUCAS3 Automatic Chest Compression Devices and Power Pro/Power Load gurney supplies and services from Stryker Medical on a sole source basis. During Fiscal Year 2022-23 (FY23), a purchase order in the amount of $32,000 was issued to Stryker Medical and has now been exhausted. Outstanding FY23 invoices for additional materials for goods and services will require an additional $20,000, bringing the total purchase order to $52,000.
Because the total purchase order during the fiscal year exceeds the $30,000 purchasing limit, staff is requesting City Council approve the additional purchase amount.
