Asyouknow,theCityofOrangeandtheCityofQueretaro,Mexicohavebeensistercitiessince1973.Duringthattime,therelationshipbetweenourFireDepartmentshasbeenkeyinmakingsureourdepartmenthastheneededequipmenttoprovideservicetoapopulationofovertwomillionpeople.Withaverylimitedbudgetwehaveproficientlyusedthedonationsprovidedinthepast.
Currently,theQueretaroFireDepartmentservicestheCityofQuerétaroandprovidesmutualaidtotheMetroAreaintheStateofQueretarowith7FireStations,runningaround5000FireandRescuecallsyearly.Duetothecontinuousgrowthofourcity'spopulation and our objective of decreasing our response times to comply withInternationalstandards,wehavestartedtheprojectionofaStation8inthewestpartofthecity.
It hascometoour attentionthat areserveFireEngineandaLadderTruckoftheOrange Fire Department will be coming out of service, therefore would like torespectfullyasktobeconsideredasadonationrecipientofit,aswellasoutdatedandnolongerinusepersonalprotectiveequipment,firehoses,toolsandmiscellaneousequipment.
