NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
ZONING CODE AMENDMENT:
TRANSFER OF DEVELOPMENT RIGHTS ORDINANCE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Orange will hold a Public Hearing at a Regular Meeting of the City Council on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at 6:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, at the City Council Chamber, 300 E. Chapman Avenue, Orange to consider the following request:
SUBJECT: An amendment to Chapter 17.44 of the Orange Municipal Code adding a new Section
17.44.210 to establish a mechanism for the transfer of development rights from “receiving areas” to “sending areas” for purposes of creating opportunities for housing, open space, and trails.

ENVIRONMENTAL INFORMATION: This action is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to, but not limited to, State CEQA Guidelines Section 15308 (Actions by Regulatory Agencies for Protection of the Environment) because it establishes a mechanism that relieves development pressure on privately owned property designated for open space and residential development. For this reason, no further CEQA documentation is require.
