10.1 Ordinance No. 01-25 Highlights
• No person shall knowingly sell Safe and Sane Fireworks to any person under 18. • No person under 18 shall participate in selling Safe and Sane Fireworks. • Safe and Sane Fireworks may only be sold between Noon and 10 p.m. from July 1st – July 3rd,and between 10 a.m. and 9 p.m. on July 4th.
• Safe and Sane Fireworks are not permitted on:
o Any public property (excluding residential sidewalks, alleys, and streets). o Commercial districts (excluding nonconforming residential uses). o Industrial/manufacturing districts (excluding nonconforming residential uses). • Safe and Sane Fireworks may only be used between Noon and 10 p.m. on July 4th.

Resolution No. 11593 Highlights
• The City will issue 8 permits per year.
• Interested groups will submit an application during the month of March to be included in the lottery.
• The lottery is anticipated to occur in April and will be conducted during a City Council meeting.
• Selected groups will work with the Fire Department and fireworks wholesaler to obtain all necessary approvals.
• The City may charge a fee amounting to the pro rata portion of actual and reasonable costs not exceeding 7% of gross Safe and Sane firework sales.
