1. SUBJECT
Appropriation of $23,000 in designated donation funding received from the Friends of Orange Public Library.
2. SUMMARY
Donation funds from the Friends of Orange Public Library will be used to enhance and expand the Library’s collections, programming, and resources.
3. RECOMMENDED ACTION
1. Accept into the City’sGeneral Fund (100) revenue budget $23,000 in donation funds from the Friends of Orange Public Library to:
100.2001.48390.19990 Donations
2. Authorize the appropriation of $23,000 to General Fund (100):
100.2001.53011.19990 Employee Appreciation $1,600
100.2001.53301.19990 Library Books $20,400
100.2014.53340.19990 Craft Supplies $1,000
4. FISCAL IMPACT
There is no direct fiscal impact to the City. The additional revenue received from the Friends of Orange Public Library will fund the expense for these services.

6. DISCUSSION AND BACKGROUND
The Friends of Orange Public Library (Friends) are donating $23,000 to meet various Library needs, including:
· $20,400 for audio-visual, digital film, and magazine resources for the public. · $1,600 for the Library’s employee appreciation program.

· $1,000 for supplies to support Library tours and outreach.
The Orange Public Library will publicize the Friends’contributions in a variety of ways, including bookplates and credit for collections support on the Library’s website.
